The Waterloo Uncovered 2017 Summer Excavation application process is now open.

The trip will run from Saturday 08 to Saturday 22 July 2017 and consist of 2 weeks archaeological excavation at the Waterloo battlefield, Belgium.

We have approximately 20 places available so please be aware not every application will result in a place. Benefits of taking part include:

The application process begins with an online application form you can find and complete at

The cost to the participant is minimal. Once accepted participants' necessary costs (travel, food, accommodation and archaeological equipment) are covered by Waterloo Uncovered. Participants will however be asked to help raise funds for a sponsored event (held on site and organised by the project) by way of a personal contribution. We hope each participant will raise £100 even if they don't take part in the event which is optional.
